Workshop A: Mythbusting: Defeating Talking Head Videos and Four Other Mythical Video Villans
We all know that the world of communications is constantly changing. Endless blasts of information from ever-changing channels have obliterated the attention spans - or have they? Rumors about shorter attention spans and harder to reach audiences abound, meanwhile, one method of communication hasn't evolved since the earliest days of video - the infamously deplorable "talking head" video, for example. It just won't go away, even though we all know staring at someone's head for three minutes straight is one of the worst ways to engage a viewer.

  • The real reason talking head videos suck in the first place
  • How to rethink your messaging to avoid getting sucked into the talking head or other video traps
